Appeal for information
Police investigating reports of racist graffiti being painted on a pub in Devon are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Officers attended The Volunteer public house, on High Street, Honiton, about racist graffiti and believe it was sprayed at around 5.30am on Wednesday 22 September.
The police are particularly keen to hear from a man and a woman with a bicycle, who they believe may have seen the suspect, or any drivers who went past at the time.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 25 and 30, of stocky build and was carrying what looked like a dark coloured holdall/bag. He was wearing dark clothing including a long sleeve top.
He came from the general direction of Mill Street and left in the same direction.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who has any information that could help with their enquiries.
If you witnessed the incident, have any information or dashcam footage of the scene at the time that could help the police with their enquiries, please email 101@dc.police.uk or call 101, quoting crime reference CR/082308/21.
Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or via the charity’s website at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
