Yesterday afternoon a Newquay Neighbourhood Officer managed to disrupt the theft of a motor vehicle whilst out on patrol in an unmarked Police vehicle.

Officers from Newquay, the Road Policing Team and Armed Response all attended the area to help locate the suspects who tried to evade contact.

Later on that day colleagues from the British Transport Police assisted Newquay officers to arrest one of the suspects.

Today another positive stop located the other suspect in the Pentire area.

We now have two  in custody on suspicion of theft of and from motor vehicles.
