Knife Crime

SCEPTRE 2025

Your local Neighbourhood Teams have been joined by the Neighbourhood Support Team this week and have been out across Liskeard, Torpoint, Saltash and Looe raising awareness of the dangers of knife crime. We also tried out our knife arch, this is like a metal detector you might see used at airports and is used to help detect whether someone is carrying a knife.

The team would like to thank everyone who stopped to chat, we had some really insightful and interesting conversations around your views on knife crime. If you are worried about knife crime please contact your local policing team - you can do this online, in person at an open police station or via 101. Liskeard and Looe currently have open front offices (please check the website for opening hours), there is also a knife amnesty bin at Liskeard Police Station where knives can be dropped off, no questions asked.
