Your local policing team have been made aware of some unknown people trying door handles on vehicles and the theft of motorbikes  in the Devonport and West area of Plymouth.

It only takes seconds for a thief to take valuables from your vehicle.  Please remove all property and items from you vehicles or keep them out of sight.

Top Tips!

*Lock your vehicle at all times

*Close windows and doors

*Remove all valuables: phones, bags, alcohol, keys, money (Loose Change) sat nav, tools etc.

*Always lock your bike steering and use a disc lock

*Chain the bike to a solid immovable object like a ground anchor

*Use a motorcycle cover if storing the bike outside to deter thieves.

 *Mark your motorbike - customise it by marking rims, frames, handlebars, to make it identifiable and less attractive for thieves.

*Park it in a well-lit overlooked area or inside a secure shed or garage

*Use accredited car parks

*Install CCTV

*Ensure  correct details are  registered with DVLA

*Install motion-activated lighting
