Following concerns from residents in Knowle about the speed of vehicles travelling on the A361 through the Village our community speed watch team held a session there on 30th April between 3pm – 4.30pm. 

They monitored a total of 542 vehicles and its disappointing to find 49 of these were exceeding 35mph in this 30mph zone with the highest recorded speed of 45mph! A lot of people walk across this road to get from the residential area of Knowle to the footpath through the wooded area behind the Industrial estate or the bus stop. Their safety is paramount while crossing this road, so we are asking drivers to please slow down while driving through Knowle and other similar 30mph locations in Devon & Cornwall. Thank you!
