* ADVANCE WARNING OF A391 DISTRIBUTOR ROAD CLOSURE *

If you are not already aware CORMAC are planning resurfacing works on the A391 Distributor Road for 4 weeks starting 6th May.

Between 6th and 30th May it will be shut all day and all night with access across Bethel, Boscoppa and Carclaze roundabouts from 0700 to 1900 only.

To keep the traffic flowing on what was the old A391 they will be using a “clearway” order on Tregonnissey Road and also Treverbyn Road, Slades Road and Truro Road to stop parking on these roads between 0730 to 0930 and 1430 to 1800.

There will likely be an increase of drivers using the single lanes around Trethurgy, Tregrehan, Luxulyan and Scredda in an attempt to avoid disruption which will cause bottlenecks and snarl ups. There is also the likelyhood of HGV's getting stuck in single lanes.

Please expect significant traffic disruption and delays during this time, especially around school / college dropping and picking off times, and plan journey times accordingly.

The police will not be managing traffic flow with Cornwall Cornwall having the responsibility for management of the closure and diversion.
