We have recently been making patrols in rural areas of Madron following reports made about motorcycles, and cars, being used off-road or on protected spaces. Please remember that it is illegal to use a motor vehicle elsewhere other than a road, unless you have been given permission by a landowner or are using a designated site.
You could be issued with a fine, or face being reported to Court for driving offences. Your vehicle could also be seized. If you cause criminal damage to protected spaces by using your vehicle off-road, you could also be prosecuted under the Criminal Damage Act 1971.
When riding or driving along byways, you must ensure that you have a valid driving license, and that your vehicle is insured and has valid MoT. Your vehicle must be road legal. Please check routes using OS maps and abide by the law.
Illegal off-road vehicle use can cause damage to land and disturb local wildlife. Please be considerate to other users of byways.
