Police would like to make you aware of the following scam - Rogue Trader - which has occurred in your area.

We are aware of at least 3 instances of this occurring in our area. 

The victims were contacted initially by telephone from a company who were offering to check or inspect solar panels. Approximately a day or two later the rogue traders attended these addresses and offered services which were not required, or at a severely inflated cost. In at least 2 instances the clients were told that the inverter was broken and needed replacing. Upon closer inspection after the rogue trader had left, it was established that the inverter had been switched off and made to appear as if it was broken.
