Police are continuing to appeal for information following a fatal collision in Plymouth. Officers were called at around 5.20pm on Tuesday 17 December to Ham Drive following a collision involving a grey Audi and a silver Ford Fiesta. A woman in her 60s from Plymouth, the driver of the Fiesta, has since been confirmed deceased. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. A man in his 30s from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. He has since been released on bail until March while the investigation continues. Inspector Jane Corkhill, head of the Serious Collisions Investigation Team, said: “Our enquiries remain ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the Ham Drive area between 5pm and 5:30pm on Tuesday 17 December, who witnessed or heard the collision to contact us. “We are particularly keen to capture any dashcam footage from vehicles that drove past the collision moments after it occurred as this would greatly assist us with our investigation. “The team would like to thank the community for their help and assistance so far in the early stages of this investigation.” Anyone with any relevant information or dash-cam footage which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting log 607 of 17/12.24 | ||||
