On Wednesday 13 November 2024, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a blue Peugeot and a mobility scooter on Exeter Road, Dawlish, at around 11.55am.

Emergency services attended the scene.

A woman in her 80s was taken to Derriford Hospital with potentially life changing injuries. 

The driver of the car was not injured.

The road was closed in both directions and was not re-opened until approximately 9pm.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team and local Neighbourhood Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed and also apologise for the unavoidable disruption this caused.
