Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision in Paignton.

Officers were called at around 9.15am on Tuesday 23 July to Goodrington Road at the junction with Gibson Road.

It was reported that a collision had taken place involving a blue Porsche Cayenne and a blue BMW motorcycle.

As a result of the collision the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene. Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
