Members of the local Police team have been presenting information to pupils at Tavistock College after a worrying national increase in hospital admissions due to vape usage amongst teens.

As well as the well-publicised health risks concerning lung disease and nicotine addiction, pupils were also given advice regarding increasing use of illegal drugs in vapes and the consequences of giving, selling and sharing any vape which contains a controlled substance.

PCSO Kevin Williams Said “everybody has a duty to ensure our children are educated about emerging threats and we work closely with our schools and colleges to ensure students receive the most appropriate information”.
