Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision in Plymouth on Friday 9 February 2024.

Officers were called at around 11.25pm to Sawrey Street where it was reported that a collision involved a Vauxhall Zafira and a female pedestrian.

The female pedestrian, aged in her 30s, sustained serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.

A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released on police bail whilst enquiries are ongoing.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene. Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
